"The lodge is set on a low hill in the countryside a few kilometers outside Hanmer Springs and the views from the units are incredible. The suite itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and a gorgeous open layout. There is no kitchen and the on-site restaurant is only open at select times, so you'll need to venture into Hanmer Springs for some of your meals. The check-in was simple and smooth, and the Tharindu (Front Office Manager) was friendly and accommodating. Hanmer Springs itself is great for a two (maybe three) day stay, with hot and cold pools, so everything for the family. Hanmer Springs golf course is a challenging par 68 with a couple of memorable holes. All in all, if you're heading for this part of New Zealand Braemar Lodge is a sure bet. Request a room on the upper floor if you want the best view."

The apartment was spacious and private with all the comforts of home, yet very close to all that this beautiful town has to offer. The grocery store was less than five minutes walk away and the thermal pool water park complex was only a few minutes further. We only wish we had booked a longer stay as there was plenty to do and see there."
