Coming during off season the pool was drained and many of the resturants around the hotel were closed, so there was a bit of a walk to get to any food accommodations. But the staff was very kind and would provide their personal phone number if they were leaving the property for any amount of time. "

"It is difficult to rate this hotel. All rooms have a big balcony/patio and provide some of the most astonishing views I've seen. The ocean, the views to the caldera and the castle, the sunsets, really beautiful. I was actually sad the day before leaving the place, couldn't get enough of that view. To me, it is the hotel with the most beautiful view I have stayed at. The staff was friendly and provided a courtesy wine to enjoy while seeing the views from the balcony. So, why not 5 stars? "The place is comfortable. The pool is peaceful and private. It is shared with two other villas in the enclosed area, however we were never out at the same time and everyone was very friendly. There are amazing views when you go on top of one of the villas. The one downside is that the streets are very narrow if you plan to drive a car. They do have a garage available upon request when booking which helps a lot with parking. We enjoyed staying in Emporio because it is a more quiet and authentic...
