"Loved the stay, our host answered calls promply and was so considerate. We loved the woodstove, grew up with one, loved the smell, loved still being close to stores,restaurants, and plenty of wooded area just beautiful. "

The second floor was warm enough to sleep, but the first floor was very cold, especially when it gets down to 19 at night when there’s no heat because all the heat travels to the second floor/loft. There was a space heater, but didn’t realize it until after we left. The host was easy to get a hold of through messages. The only recommendation I would say is maybe put a firebox insert in the fireplace to...

"This place was perfect for us. Secluded and quiet area, great history, and great amenities. It’s definitely a historic cabin and may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who are taller than around 5’9”, or those with physical handicaps. For us it was perfect. The managers were great and communicated with us any time we asked questions. Highly recommend. "

"My husband and I stayed at this cabin for a nice Thanksgiving get away in the woods. It has everything you need- towels, pillows, blankets, coffee, oil, salt/pepper, paper towels, TP, etc so you don't have to pack so much stuff. It was very cozy!! The fire pit outside was a great touch. "

"We were super excited to stay in such a charming historic cabin. Felt like staying at an old family homestead. The rental is furnished with absolutely everything you could possibly need if staying with dogs or family. We really appreciated all the character and thoughtfulness put into the property. "

"This beautiful home was built by the owners and is tastefully decorated as well as nicely maintained. The location makes it extremely convenient for day trips to surrounding towns such as Frederick, Harper's Ferry and Gettysburg. The home is comfortable and can easily accommodate a large group. The hosts are very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would rebook if we were to return to the area."
