"Booked this as a first visit to Whitby. It was a little out of town but suited our needs & price range for one night. We booked a family room & it seemed a standard room with extra beds in it but still spacious enough for a night. The bed wasn’t that comfortable but it was convenient having the pub/restaurant next door. We didn’t experience any issues except the room smelled a bit musty on arrival which was quickly solved by leaving the window open while we went for dinner. While the hotel...

"Looked after extremely well. Not certain about the lack of amenities in the double room for disabled people. Nowhere to hang bathroom robes or wash bags and for a non-disabled person the wash basin was extremely low, small and difficult as an older person to use. "

"Lovely clean room, comfy bed. Ate in the bar & enjoyed a nice meal, friendly staff in bar area. It was not warm enough to sit in the garden but in warmer weather there were plenty of tables outside in a nice spacious garden. Hotel is situated away from the centre of whitby but is very handy for the park & ride bus service which works out much cheaper than using the town car parks. "

"Very friendly staff in this pub with rooms located in a peaceful village setting outside the hustle and bustle of Whitby. Very good food, brilliant breakfast and a grand pot of tea. Local doorstep walks and a super walk into Whitby for those fit and active. A great find. Hope to visit again."
