"Ella is all hills - so it’s a 6 minute steep walk to Onrock or 1 minute drive but that’s better than almost every other place. It’s upscale for Ella though short of 4 star luxury. Breakfast excellent. It’s fun and convenient and the 2 of us from USA strongly recommend. "

"We had amazing stay here. Amazing staff. Indika (server) & Dewan (hiking guide) stood out for us, top notch service. Food is okay at the restaurant but they have good selection of the breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend this place. This resort is literally inside tea plantation and you have little Adam Rock view right from the hotel. "

"Very bad, the room had loads mosquitoes. No air condition just a fan. No kettle or cups to have tea. The only thing I like the hotel was the location and the spacious room, that’s about it. "

"Liked the 5-10 min walk into town along the rail line. Room amazing view of hills - Ella Rock, waterfall, little Adam’s peak. Lots of birds on trees from balcony and mongooses in garden. Staff helpful. Breakfast (Sri Lankan) great. Had 2 double bedded room which was large and lots of space. "

"I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. It is rustic, peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view. The breakfast is excellent and the hospitality is outstanding. My only word of caution is that there are many steep stairs to get from the road to the property so it wouldnt be appropriate for people living with mobility limitations. Otherwise i highly recommend it. "
