"I loved this place. I’ve stayed at a lot of cabins throughout the Appalachians. This one is very rare in actually being located deep in the woods, providing a ton of privacy and beautiful nature. The cabin itself is on a private driveway and backed up against secluded woods. It’s also decorated very well. We loved the first and second floor balconies allowing you to sit outside and read and relax, not to mention the hammock. I would give the owner feedback more than 5 stars if I could. They left...

"We really loved staying here for a week at the end of June. Sadly the temperatures were above average and the single window air unit was not enough to circulate through out the entire house. We didn't want to leave the windows open while we weren't there because of our four dogs. Also the lack of a fenced yard will stop us from returning. We brought a small amount of fencing with us which worked out great but takes up to much space in our SUV. If there was a fence we would return for short...

"We can't say enough about our host, Molly (and her husband)! We came down to the area just after Hurricane Helene and had to navigate a few storm related issues but it was no big deal and Molly made it easy. The house is adorable and well appointed. The area is beautiful, close to great hiking & biking. Truly enjoyed our time and hope to be back soon! "

Notwithstanding the damage to roads from hurricane Helene, we still managed to get some supplies delivered to those in need, and to unwind from a stressful few weeks. "The house was wonderful. The yard is not kept up. There is a lot of debris, tree limbs,leaves and small trees growing everywhere. The deck is slick due to mildew. The drive way is very steep. They even put in a longer driveway however this is still very steep. I have a SUV ,not 4 wheel drive, and when it rained I could not get up driveway. The hot tub was great but only 2 jets were working. The TV worked but the volume kept going to mute. I contacted the rental and they brought us another TV but...

"Beautiful location directly on New River. Cabin was well appointed but there was a slow leak at the base of the upstairs toilet. Not sure if the seal needs replacing or the toilet just needs to be tightened up a bit. Also, the seat needs to be replaced or tightened up. I would also recommend replacing the charcoal grill. One of the wheels is broken and wants to fall off when moving the grill. Other than that we enjoyed our stay."

Available on Saturday. I really didn't feel like finding a different place so I took the tree house... But I didn't read the description. I just figured it was the same as the cabin but a treehouse. And I'm leaving 5 stars because they shouldn't pay the price for my hurry to book the room before...
