Flipping through the guidebook for a solution we eventually found a sticky note that said 'don't open the doors, they'll get stuck' -- which is both too little...

"We had a delightful stay at the cottage during our quick weekend trip to Mendocino. The location was perfect right in the middle of town and we were able to walk down to the Headlands State Park as well as the downtown art galleries and cafes. Heather is a fantastic host and we will absolutely seek this place out on our next trip to Mendocino."

"The location is incredible. Easily walk to everything downtown, the views of the headlands out the north windows is just so peaceful and relaxing. "The only blemish was a heavy disinfectant smell--almost nauseating. First day we left all windows open to get some relief--not all. Second day was better but still lingering. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place--just the perfect choice. Just air it out for the next guests"
