The area it is in seems to be undergoing redevelopment but we felt safe walking to and from downtown even at 11pm at night. Our only hiccup was a missing coffee maker at the property. "This apartment was beautiful, in a historic building, high above all of the noise, and above some fantastic restaurants and bars! It was surprisingly insulated from outside noise! The owners were immediately responsive to my request for cooking pots and pans and brought them over so I could use the full and very clean kitchen.
