"Oh dear what have we booked into soon turned into wow! this is great. Reception very efficient and helpful. Apartment well equipped. Beach not as busy as further east and just 5 mins away. PLEASE NOTE if you are driving from the east on the gc1 you need to take the Tauro exit and then follow the coast road. The same applies if coming from the Mogan direction as the coast road is closed . You can get on the gc1 at Taurito but not off it. Hope this helps."

"Not all is as it seems or you might expect at Apartmentos Babalu. Air conditioning is not included. Fans are not included. Umbrellas on the patio are not included. The 'pool bar' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. The 'shop' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. You have to pay extra to rent a portable air conditioning unit, or otherwise pay extra to rent a fan. You have to pay extra to rent an umbrella for the balcony of your apartment. "Fabulous view from a large balcony. Not for the faint of heart climbing the 58 steps to the property, but we would do it all again for that view (we are over 65), and for the handy position in terms of beach, marina, shops and restaurants. Impressive wardrobe space, comfy sofa from which you can still see the sea and the boats."

The balcony offers a seating area and a hammock. There is a retractable sunoof

"A mix up at check in and were moved to the ‘piscina room’. It was chilly on the days we were there and the hot tub & sauna was the best. Made friends with the lovely staff at the restaurant beside the property. Wonderful time, thank you!"

"Went for a quiet and relaxing week of winter sun with my partner and the stay was perfect in all details. The villa was big and very comfortable. Breakfast is well served, great size heated pools. Hotel staff were friendly and kudos to the housekeeping, everything was so clean!! Highly recommend it"

"This was our seventh visit to this hotel and always feels like coming home. A relaxed holiday in wonderful surroundings. I had emailed requesting a certain room, which we had, so that was very much appreciated. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. A recent renovation of the restaurant makes this a lovely place to eat and relax. Food is varied, do miss the morning coffee service but thats a personal view. Jordi, one of the managers is fantastic and attentive. It's lovely that he recognises us each year and will spend time with you. It is a shame that despite this being our seventh visit, it was not recognised at reception when checking in. The receptionist asked us if we had ever been before and was surprised that we had! It wont stop us visiting next year, but would make the checking in experience more personal. The amadores area is lovely, quiet at this time of year as expected but you can take a short walk to Puerto Rico for more bars and restaurants. A lovely break for us and have already booked our eighth visit in June next year."

"We had a lovely time here, hotel was clean food was good with lots of options. There is a bus down to the beach which we didn’t make use of but if your a beach person its good. The hotel is a little dated in some of the rooms however the views are spectacular and definitely make up for it and the stairs. "
