"Beautiful property, wirh great views of Cotopaxi from our room. Wonderful to have a wood stove in the room, as it's cold up there and the fire kept us toasty! Franklin was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. Food was surprisingly nice, especially the soups and fish. The property is very close to the entrance of the park. Do NOT follow Google maps in this atea, it's not just inaccurate, it's crazy wrong. There are signs posted telling you where to turn for this hotel. Trust thesigns, not Google. "

"The hotel is a little bit challenging to reach. If you don't have an organized transportation, you should rent a SUV, since roads are partly really bumpy. But the place and the hotel are great. It is really quite and cosy. We had a fire place in our room. The food is good. And just after moving to another hotel not to far away we realized how great Chilcabamba was. We would like to come back immediately. We will miss it. So, if you need a nice place to disconnect from the was was world, Chilcabamba could be a good option for you."
