SUPERB FAMILY VILLA, OVERLOOKING THE SEA WITH PRIVATE HEATED (OPTIONAL) POOL

Secluded family villa located in the sought after area of Coveta Fuma near to El Campello. This perfect family villa offers spacious, light and airy accommodation on one level, with spectacular sea views to the east, south and south-west, and a private swimming pool, which has the option of being heated (see rules and policies/house rules/custom rules). Note that heating the pool can take several days depending on the water starting temperature, the air temperature, if there’s a breeze, the hours of sunshine and whether or not the pool cover/thermal blanket is in place, with the latter being the only variable that we have control over, and so it is in your interest to give us as much notice as possible.

We will always do our best to accommodate your arrival and departure requirements, whether that be an earlier or later than 4pm check-in, or an earlier or later than 10am check-out. Note that very late arrivals after 9pm can be accommodated for a late check-in fee of 100 euros, payable on arrival.

The villa has awnings for those who prefer the shade, and many cool areas of the garden in which to sit. It also benefits from hot/cold air conditioning, a large wood burner in the lounge, and has additional heaters for the cooler months. Available on request is a travel cot, Chess set and playing cards.

Being located only a 20/25 minute drive from Alicante airport, the location could not be more perfect, and we are pleased to offer a basic welcome pack for your convenience on arrival.

Terrific stay
From the exceptional hospitality of both David and Candy to David’s delightful, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean villa, our stay was perfect. The views are stunning and the location ideal. The small village of Coveta Fuma has everything required (including a great beach) and the tram means car hire is not necessarily required. Without doubt, the best villa of the many we have rented!

Lovely located property. Tram nearby so able to travel easily up and down the coast. Its a very quiet neighbourhood with just a couple of restaurants 10 minute walk away. Everything you need for a relaxing pleasant stay is there.

Villa with an amazing view
We had an amazing time at this wonderful villa. Superb villa, clean and tidy with amazing views and everything we needed and more. The pool was a good size and we had it heated which was needed as we went early April. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday. We will be booking again in the near future.

Lovely Villa With Sea Views
The property is well equiped and maintained. It is located in a quiet residental area and has great sea views. It is in a good location with local pubs, restaurants and a shop within 10 mins walk. Strongly recommend hiring a car to explore the area. The property mamager (Candy) was very helpful and responsive. We had a great hoilday and would love to go back again.

Very nice house
Perfect holiday in a nice house, but it would be nice if you could change the cushions in the sun chairs outside ass well as the dining chairs. They are very worn out.

Lovely villa, great location!
We had a lovely stay in Villa Carlanna. A really well equipped kitchen, plenty of shade options for outdoor areas, air con in the bedrooms is very efficient, pool area is very nice…they have thought of all of your potential needs, even down to a wheeled shopping bag for market days etc (you really should use it- everyone has one!). Check in and check out we’re very friendly and speedy- we were given lots of guidance and links for places to go and invaluable advice on where to spend time before our late flight home, couldn’t ask for more We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

Superb Management
The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped. The seaviews are even more outstanding than they appear on the website. The tram into El Campello is regular and easy to use. There are a few bars and restaurants well within walking distance (very friendly staff). We have to give special mention to Candy, the villa manager who went out of her way to help us obtain our covid lab results prior to flying home.

Great villa
Very enjoyable stay Candy and David are awesome and will help you, in any way they can, also very quick in responding on questions. The villa is very nice in a quit area, for good night sleeps, the birds in the morning adds to a peacefull stay, the veranda is just great we spun a lot of time there. Bars and restaurants and some nice beaches not to far away. The pool was awesome with plenty of beds and chairs. Also a nice bbq place for nice evening meals. Beautiful Villa in a quiet residential area
We stayed for a week end of May 2022 myself and 5 friends. The villa Carlanna was beautiful. Fabulous pool and 3 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning. Candy the property manager was really attentive and gave us lots of information about the area and things to do around about. It would be better to hire a car if you want to see the sights and have days out. But we enjoyed restful days by the pool and taking the tram just 10 minutes walk away for days out to the many beautiful beaches and towns nearby. Lovely plaza close by with a selection of bars and restaurants and a beach with paddle boards, canoes and boat trips also 10 minutes away. Would highly recommend it and would love to come back.

July Holiday
We stayed for two weeks at the beginning July. On arrival we were met by Bonnie and shown around. It was extremely hot during our stay so the air conditioning in the bedrooms was much needed. The pool is a real gem with a lovely temperature and private. There are other villas very close by, but they don’t interfere with your views out to sea. Issues raised during our stay were quickly sorted out by Candy and Bonnie. It should be noted that whilst there are local bars not far away the walk to them is down/up quite a steep hill. The pool area would benefit from a second umbrella although there are other sheltered areas around the Villa.

I highly recommend!
A lovely villa with an absolutely incredible view directly to the sea! We spent a relaxing holiday by the pool barbecuing and admiring the view. The villa was well equipped and there was everything we needed and there was plenty of room for six people, although we spent a lot of our time outside sitting, laughing and playing. Alicante and Benidorm were easily accessible from the tram stop (Amerador), which was about a ten minutes’ walk away from the villa, and we visited both places during our one-week holiday. There was also a small grocery store (Supermercado Udaco) and a few restaurants nearby. We visited the grocery store every day to replenish our food stock and on the last night we ate at a nearby restaurant (Restaurant Cala Blanc) - the food was good and affordable! All in all, a wonderful holiday in a wonderful milieu!

Stunning Villa
We have just returned from a fabulous week at Villa Carlanna. The Villa was perfect for our family, it had everything you may need (even a wheelie trolly for taking heavy items home from the shop!). Air conditioning in the bedrooms was a delight at bedtime. The Villa was within walking distance of a few bars and restaurants that also has a children’s playground within view of the bars, this was great for our children (aged 2, 7, 9 and 10). We found no need to hire a car, we used the tram, which was within walking distance of the Villa, for days out in El Campello and Benidorm, it was very efficient. David was super quick at replying to any questions I had and Candy was very welcoming, she checked us in and out very quickly. We are missing the beautiful sea views already and can not wait to return. Thank you David and Candy.

Perfection.....
We were looking for somewhere that was perfect for an early summer getaway for my wife and I along with our elderly parents and two children. El Campello provided us with our perfect family holiday. The kids played in and around the pool most days while were at close hand relaxing on the veranda overlooking the ocean. We barbecued with the family most nights before taking a leisurely stroll to the local bars while our parents preferred the tranquil moments watching the sunset(babysitting!!!)poolside. The seven days flew in so next time we will need to stay a little longer. The olds might even take a longer extended winter break next year!! Thanks El campello!!!!!

Fantastic Villa, outstanding location
Having previously stayed here in Summer 2011 I had no hesitation in booking this for my winter vacation. The location is ideally suited for either a peaceful relaxing stay in a traditional Spanish setting with the beach close by or the local train can whisk you to bright lights of the resorts. short distances to the airports too. The weather was perfect in January,around 18-20c allowing my golf handicap to improve marginally . The villa itself was immaculate and extremely spacious with all the amenities you would expect at home. Many an evening was spent firing up a bbq and enjoying the still warm air. The village itself has a supermarket a few minutes walk away and the local square has a few restaurants and bars . I would recommend this villa to both families and couples, and look forward to coming back in 2013 >

February in Coveta Fuma
We have recently returned from spending a month in the villa to escape grey February in the UK. The villa is in a great location with fantastic views over the sea from most windows. The local bars and restaurants in the village square are a 10 min walk away and it's a 10 minute drive to the lovely town of El Campello where there are numerous restaurants, supermarkets etc. The beach in El Campello is beautiful-wide,clean and stretches for miles! The villa itself was spacious with plenty of storage space and equipment.We were very comfortable there for the month- especially loved the fantastic South facing terrace which is a real sun trap. A big thank you to Brian and Maureen for welcoming us to the property, which was beautifully presented when we arrived- and also for responding to any requests and problems so promptly and efficiently.

A lovely villa with great sea views.
We recently stayed at the villa for 10 nights in April 2019. It's very spacious and the kitchen and glassware dining is very well equipped. The pool was wonderful and the shaded veranda was lovely along with gorgeous sea views. We were met by the host who was extremely friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to the tram stop which can take you either north or south and 4 mins journey to el campello for restaurants etc. There is a small square 10 mins walk away with some bars and restaurants, the Singapore garden was excellent but none have any views as such. The villa's getting a bit outdated which could easily be fixed is clean up the black mould marks on wall around dining area, replace the veranda sofa which had horrible patches on it and provide some cushions for sun loungers - nothing major but would make things nicer reflecting the cost. I would recommend this villa for a relaxing break.

Great relaxing family break in the sun
From arrival at the airport our family holiday was fantastic. Maureen had arranged a taxi transfer which only takes 25 minutes straight to the villa. Met by Brian who was very helpful and showed us where everything was and also made sure we knew the local points of interest, shopping, eating etc. The villa itself is tucked away in a quiet residential area looking towards the sea. We wanted a relaxing, quite family break and this was perfect. The pool is great and the patio area of the villa allows easy options to move out of the sun if it gets too hot - weather was superb! The villa has everything you would need for a holiday stay and very much feels like a family home with all mod-cons, plenty of space too. The local shop has all of your day to day needs and is just a short walk. The local bars and restaurants are excellent and the people are very very friendly. Further afield it's easy to get to Campello on the tram, just a short hop from the station beside the local shop. Campello has an amazing beach and we had some fantastic eating out there too - tapastastic! Unfortunately we had to come home eventually but again Maureen had organised a transfer back to the airport so no hassle for us whatsoever. All in all we had an amazing time and would highly recommend.

Perfect Villa Holiday
We’ve just returned from a gorgeous week away in this lovely villa. We were a family of 6 & it was just perfect with all the amenities you’ll need. The Villa has a lovey veranda with beautiful sea views & gorgeous sunrises & sunsets. The veranda has comfy seating overlooking the pool which we paid extra to heat. The pool was large enough for kids and adults to play in with plenty of loungers & umbrellas. The Villa also has plenty of other seating areas to spread out if you want a bit of peace & quiet. We particularly liked the one area out front. The Villa was located in a quiet neighbourhood a 10 min walk to a small supermarket which did lovely warm bread & pastries a couple of bars restaurants & a small beach, although some roads are hilly. The tram stop of Coveta Fuma near the supermarket is so cheap to travel on (€9 for 6) although sometimes it’s standing room only. We used the tram to travel to the beach at El Campello, Alicante & Benidorm. Candy was the perfect host offering that personal touch contacting us before the holiday to arrange taxi transfers to & from the airport & despite the very late hour met us at the Villa to show us around. Candy also send us details of a large supermarket if we wanted to order online, plus during the holiday sent us plenty of ideas & places to visit. And thank you to Bonnie who oversaw our departure. Thank you to David for letting us stay in this lovely villa & Candy for going above and beyond in making this just the perfect holiday

Summer golf in November
Just dropping a line to record the quality and condition of the property was as good as, if not indeed better than described on the website. Quality golf courses to choose from too, all within about half an hour’s drive – Villaitana Levante, Alicante, Real de Faula, El Plantio, Bonalba, Alenda and further afield around 1 hour’s drive Ifach, La Sella, and La Finca. Highlights were definitely Seve Ballesteros’s par 72 Alicante Golf Course, 5 minutes from Alicante City Centre – beautifully laid-out and maintained, and the par 72, 7000 yard Jack Nicklaus designed Villaitana Levante championship course. Fabulous greens, stunning views of the Med and mountains with top class clubhouse and practice facilities. Alicante old town is in a different class for al fresco dining and a night out, and we had beer followed by tapas followed by more beer followed by more tapas, and so on and so forth, whilst being “serenaded” by a flamenco guitarist in a traditional al fresco Spanish restaurant in a charming narrow cobbled street ! There was an endless number of these outside restaurants, one after the other in an endless number of similar narrow cobbled streets and lanes. Pretty amazing as well. And Brian said that we’d get a discount on our next booking for posting a review…..! Planning to return again next year.

Discerning Golfers
Our annual golf trip has taken us to The Belfry, Slaley Hall, Nairn, Gullane and Spey Valley, to name but a few world famous golfing destinations. Macrihanish last year was great, but a wet and windy late August saw us in thermals, waterproofs and woolly hats, and inspired us to book this top venue where we were guaranteed the best weather in Europe. Having done a bit of research, it was no surprise to find that it was dry and sunny for the duration of our trip, and the cost worked out about the same per head as previous years. The entire party of 11 used the ample open living areas and heated pool at Villa Carlanna, which comfortably slept 6, with the other 5 staying at another villa close-by, which had also been arranged by the agents. This is a class location, and is very well served by friendly local supermarket, restaurants and bars, all within a short walk of the villa. As well as two great days of golf, in shorts with not a thermal or waterproof in sight, we had another fabulous sweaty afternoon playing beach volleyball (several courts on the beach), followed by a swim in the sea, which was great considering the time of year. Calm down ladies! Further followed by drinks and dinner overlooking the beach at Campello. We spent our very tired last night dining in the villa (local Chinese takeaway), with the wood burner on, finishing the carryout and watching football on British Sky TV. We’ve never considered going to the same venue twice. Until now, that is………!

nice location, needs updating
This property is in a nice location (although as per my experience 5 minutes walk to beach/shop etc. actually means 15) and has very nice outdoor areas with lots of shade, although the actual area around the pool is quite restricted. Amazing views across the ocean and fairly quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and has a good sized fridge although some of the saucepans were not clean and the crockery was an eclectic mix. The door handle to the washing machine broke on the first occasion we used it but the managers did their best to fix it and provided us with extra towels (as others were trapped in the machine). The property was spotlessly clean as was the pool and terrace areas. My only comment would be that we have stayed at lots of properties in this price range and of this size and we were a bit disappointed with the inside of this villa. Decoration/fixtures/fittings were very old and dated and I cut my finger quite badly on a damaged wardrobe knob. I was also surprised that the air conditioning was an old system which operated all rooms off of one control. One bedroom was freezing cold (as obviously at front of the a/c queue) but by the time it reached the lounge the a/c was pretty weak. Modern systems with individual controls would have made our lives easier. The lounge has a good sized T.V. and DVD player (no satellite) and the free wi-fi was very good. Good amount and quality of seating. In conclusion, I would say that this is a very nice villa in a lovely position, but it needs a good overhaul to justify its place at the upper end of the price range for a 6 person villa. Best points are the spotlessly clean pool and the numerous shaded areas which were comfortable and relaxing, plus the beds which were very comfortable!

City / Country Combo Holiday
This is a charming villa set in a hilly enclave just north of El Campello. We chose NOT to rent a car - so we stayed local (from Alicante to Villajoysa is easy/cheap to do by tram). The tram stop (and local wine/grocery merchant) is an easy 10 minute walk - take a backpack and its easy to do your shopping and be back at the villa. The grounds are nice with lots of vignettes around the villa to either chase the sun or the breeze depending on time of day. Candy was wonderful to meet us on the first day at the Alicante train station and wait for us to buy a few days grocery on our arrival (Sat) as most markets are closed on Sunday. So you do have to plan ahead a little. Pool area was great - we were lucky it hadn't gotten too cold yet. Only downside we could think of was the Aircon is only in the sleeping area of the house. This makes it necessary to keep the breeze blowing thru the rest of the house for comfort - and this lets in mosquitos. So bug spray is important. Great location, away from the "big city" but easy to enjoy get a city/country holiday with the touristy stuff in Alicante and the more local feel of El Campello and Coveta Fuma.
