"Fabulous hostel, really warm mid winter - both in the room and common areas, fireplace, the dogs were an unexpected boon! Modern rooms with excellent floor heating - exactly what you want/need after a long day out in Patagonian winter! Good food in the restaurant (arepas!), hot dishes included in the free breakfast, amazing views, reasonably-priced laundry service. Short walk to the town centre. Really friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't be happier."

"Beautiful setting, peaceful and relaxing with opportunities to horse ride by the lake and experience estancia life. It's a long taxi ride from the centre and airport but this did not really concern us since it was soley a two night base from which to experience perito moreno. However I do feel that the estancia takes advantage of the guests being far from the centre by hiking up food and drink prices: 20USD for a sandwich and cereal bar lunch box?! We totally avoided the ridiculous lunch box...

"Nice hotel within walking distance of the main street in El Calafate with restaurants and bars. Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fairly basic, but did offer cooked eggs on request. The room was nice - ours was on a heated corridor and also had under-floor heating - which was very useful for drying clothes and boots after a rainy day."
