"What a lovely find! The only reason this hotel is not a 4 star is the lack of amenities such as air con/tea making facilities. The hotel itself is similar quality to a 4 star so don’t let the ratings put you off. Excellent service, clean & comfortable accommodation which is very well located. "

"Hotel Gran Havana is very centrally located and has become my favorite place to stay in Barcelona. There are many great restaurants around and is very walkable to three different metro stations (passeig de gracia, urquinaona, and girona). The receptionists are very friendly and accommodating. The doorman Raul is exceptional as well. The bar is small but ver lively and bartenders are very friendly. I give it a 10/10!! Cant wait for the next stay. "

"The hotel has a fantastic location literally adjacent to Sagrada Familia that includes a bird's eye view from their rooftop bar/terrace. The staff was friendly and professional and spoke English, which was nice for us since we do not speak Spanish very well. There were numerous food and drink options around the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did not eat in the actual hotel restaurant while staying as we preferred to try different options each day around the city. The room and it's on-suite bathroom were large and well equipped. I would stay at this hotel again if we ever return to Barcelona for another visit."

"Despite the renovations going on we were unaffected. The hotel is well situated for shopping and close to the metros for getting around. Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the rooftop bar. The only issue was the bed- it was really hard and uncomfortable. I did ask if it could be changed but nothing came of it. Overall we enjoyed staying here and would recommend this hotel. "

"We stayed in the family apartment which is across the road from the main hotel. It was spacious, clean with all amenities you will require. We still had access to the hotel facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. Location was amazing. We walked everywhere. The hotel is central and very close to the Casa Batllo and Casa Mila. It is like being on Oxford Street in London. You are a 45 minute walk to Park Guell or the Aquarium. About 25 minute walk to Gothic Quarter and Picasso museum. 15 min walk to Sagrada Familia. 5 mins to La Rambla. So many food options near by. Just use google to find ones with high ratings and avoid tourist traps serving generic stuff. Berry Brunch was great for breakfast. Roof top bar is worth a visit with great views across Barcelona. You can see the Sagrada Familia lit up. At night it is really quiet. The rooms are sound proofed but you can start to hear the traffic outside from around 8.30. But it is so much quieter than staying in la rambla. Overall really good place and i would stay there again on my next visit to an amazing city"
