"Our check in was easy and we were shown to our apartment and where to park our car in an enclosed, locked lot. We were just a few minutes walk to the city center of this charming town. There were lots of choices for eating and shopping nearby. Our 2 bedroom apartment was an upgrade from the 1 bedroom we had reserved. The kitchen was immense as well as the patio/balcony which could seat 8 comfortably. September was the perfect month for exploring the old town of Goslar. "

"This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. "The hotel staff were friendly, the breakfast offered included a variety of food, and was easy walking distance to the old town. The dinner menu did not offer a variety of good and as expensive. In addition, the bar was closed on the nights we were there."

"Had to move rooms which was inconvenient; booked 2 nights, was not able to change booking after I booked the first night. Had to do a separate booking and they insisted that I move rooms. Did not make sense (since they had to clean twice) but what do I know. "
