My only complaint is that the hot tub was not open, but it was closed for maintenance so really not a reason to leave a poor review. The breakfast spread was exceptional. My partner and I had access to everything we needed and had a lovely stay.

My brother was in an accident and we rushed from Manitoba. During my stay I caught some sort of flu and was very sick and had my 86 year old father with me. My brother was medivac to Edmonton but I was too sick to follow. After telling them I was checking out early to follow my brother to Edmonton I now told them I was too sick to leave. The staff were absolutely unbelievably kind to us. Making sure I had water and sending up gravol dropped off for me. When checking out the girl at the desk loaded all our luggage as I was still weak. Manager has an amazing team!!!! Oh and breakfast was great!!! We are now in Edmonton close to hospital here and my father keeps saying “at that good hotel…” thank you!!! Oh and I don’t know why my name is showing up as my husband. But I am Donna Wilson and very thankful for the kindness shown to me and my father in a difficult time!!!

This St Albert’s BW property is well managed, from its care to sanitize surfaces including luggage trolleys and availability of shoe covers, to its friendly-yet-professional reception to its helpful-but-unobtrusive room service and generous, varied full breakfast buffet. Our room was quiet, with a window which opened while also featuring blackout curtains. Two comfy beds had a bedside alarm clock, lamp and outlets for USBs as well as traditional appliances. Desk had a comfy office chair, lamp and lots more electrical outlets. Even a mini-kitchen which included coffee maker, microwave oven and fridge. Didn’t try the full-sized ironing board and full-sized iron in the generously-sized closet with safe. In the bathroom, a large shower with rain shower head. Plenty of towels, and citrus shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in environmentally-friendly wall dispensers. (Just wish the hand moisturizer was also dispensed this way rather than in a tiny purse-sized container.) The pool and hot tub were appreciated, just down the hall on the main floor, past the business nook where guests could use the desktop computer and house phone. Criticisms? Lack of overhead light, recycling bin and comfy chair in our room and lack of lighting at the entrance to the property guiding cars into the property and to the right toward the Reception. (The driveway is semi-hidden at night and it is not clear for a first-time guest which side of the building they would find the entrance.) Will return!

I was in town for a funeral. I had flown in on a very early flight after rising at 2 am to get to the airport on time. I was travelling with my 87 year old mom and my husband who is in poor health. Both my sons missed the flight. It was a long and stressful trip to St. Albert. I asked for early check in for even 1 of the 3 rooms, so they could both access the room early to rest. The hotel was fully booked, so could not accommodate. BUT, then Nette called and said they had a room cleaned early and we could come and rest in it anytime after 1 pm. That was a God send. At that moment, we were parked in a mall parking lot sleeping in our rental car. Nette and the rest of the staff were above and beyond helpful and sympathetic and deserve a raise.
