"The house on the lake was the perfect place for four friends to spend a weekend getaway. Everything was easy- location, getting to, and checking in and out. The Hansons are great hosts and were easy to message with and answered any questions we had about our stay. While the weather did not cooperate we still had a wonderful time hiking and photographing nature at the nearby Wing Haven Preserve and dining out in Angola. Everything was clean and perfect, lots of great space, and being dog-friendly...

"Our mother rented the house for her three sons and their wives who were from Ft. Wayne, Texas and Seattle. The home was very clean with comfortable beds and Mom loved sitting at the table and looking out at the lake since she wasn’t able to climb all of the steps down to the water. The only thing wrong was the front steps and stairs inside the house up to the great room were difficult for one of the wives getting ready for knee surgery soon and for our elderly mom. "Our family had a wonderful time! The home was beautiful, even better than the pictures. The entire home is well thought out and has everything you could need in the kitchen. We loved sitting around the fire pit each evening. Our days were spent in the water. Swimming, using the provided rafts and kayaks. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable time! Mike and Sue were kind and quick to respond with any questions we had. We would highly recommend this home! "

"Our group of five older women, all cousins, enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary on Golden Lake. If you love peace and quiet with a beautiful view, this is the place. We had plenty of room to spread out, or to gather together comfortably. The screened porch was our favorite spot. Rain or shine, it was a lovely place to sit and watch the lake, the birds, and boats gliding by. We were disappointed that the VRBO listing promised 2 full and 2 half baths. The home has two bathrooms. "
