"What a cute, remote, little place this is! All you hear are the rumble of the waves and look out on the vista of the Bay of Plenty and Whakari/White Island. Highly recommend. If you're in need of supplies, Opotiki is a 10 minute drive away otherwise, enjoy the wilderness. Fully equipped unit to spend time away from it all. "

"My partner, me and our two dogs had a lovely weekend up here. Beautiful place to stay at lovely fenced area for your dogs. Beach so close. Was supper easy to communicate with the property manager and got a very fast response for a question I had. Would definitely recommend to stay there to anyone who is travelling to Whakatāne."

"Really loved our stay here, the view and the sounds of the waves. We really needed this. Hosts were lovely and accomodating. Only thing was, the listing said it was a 2 bedroom, but it’s a one bedroom and the other beds are in the same room as the kitchen, which made it a bit tricky with a 5 yr old and a 5 month old. But we made it work 😊"

"At 3pm on the day i was supposed to check in, having driven for nearly 4 hrs to get there, the owner advised that the property was not available! I had to drive all the way home again, and miss out on all my holiday plans. Totally gutted. Appalled by the behaviour of the owner. "

"Wonderful to stay in the garden caravan with my young son. Pam and Nev are wonderful hosts, the Caravan is spotless and perfect place to stay.
