"When we arrived at the property we had so many questions about the area! The staff was helpful and answered all of our questions with great patience. We only stayed for 1 night, but wish we had booked for more nights. We toured Siena during the day, but came back to the property for a beautiful sunset and dinner. "The host is excellent, the property is wonderful, spacious parking for six vehicles inside an anient iron and brick fence, ancient house with gorgeous and spacious interior, high ceilings, balcony with a spectacular view of the Tuscany countryside, and a fourteen minute drive from paid parking in the historic city center of Siena. "Perfect location for a stay in Siena. It is literally next to the Duomo. The B&B suggested we use a valet parking lot outside of the city, which worked out perfectly. "Superb views from room and breakfast area. Air conditioned room with comfortable beds. Room size, however, was very compact for a family of 4. We found the step into the bathroom concerning as using the bathroom during the night when in a semi-conscious state, 2 of our party had stumbles. The staff were very attentive and always friendly. The room was very clean. Plenty of safe parking available within grounds"

"This is a beautiful, but old building, with spacious rooms, a and high ceilings. But it is dark. Only one window that does not let in much light. So used our lights a lot. The property is in Trastevere, which is popular and busy, but our room was really quiet. The front desk/proprietor was extremely helpful in making a restaurant reservation and booking a car to the airport."

Independent house in the hills of the Sienese countryside

Our Trip to Tuscany

"The picture of the farmhouse doesn't do the location justice after you see it in person.. it's a spectacular view! We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and were warmly welcomed by our hosts. After getting a quick tour of where we would be staying for the next week, we were pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture of homemade olive oil and wine left for us to have. Thank you! The location of this property is perfect for visiting the Tuscany countryside. Not only did we visit Siena on a few occasions, we also did day trips to Montepulciano, Cortona, Piensa and San Gimigagno. Our hosts gave us our space but also took time to answer our questions and make us feel welcome. We especially loved our conversations about all the delicious fruit they had growing in their yard! We will miss waking up to "Rusty" the rooster and seeing the chickens, rabbits and cats each day. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with the world.. this was the type of vacation we were hoping to have! Arrivederci Todd, Joy & Pauline"

Three friends in Sovicille (not Siena)

"We stayed in Sovicille for one week (group of 3 friends). The original listing stated the property was located in Siena, which is part of what drew us to the listing. It was then changed after we booked the property. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and appliances. The grounds including lawn, garden, pool are all very well-maintained and inviting. Close to local grocery store but not much else that doesn’t require driving. Approximately 20 minutes from Siena. There are not really any accessible walking paths directly from the house that don’t require you to walk along the road. The air conditioners in the rooms are fairly weak (more like fans than true A/Cs) so it made it difficult to sleep on hot nights. The owner brought a table fan at our request. Overall our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend this property if you don’t mind driving to get to towns and also that the listing accurately reflect the location at all times (Sovicille vs Siena). "

"Pietro was excellent, he made sure we had everything we needed. In the Expedia description it said we would have a microwave, oven top and kettle. When we arrived we had a kettle. Pietro immediately got us a microwave that was also an oven. He supplied us with plates, bowls and cutlery. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast every morning was delicious with a wide variety of items to choose from. It’s a beautiful and extremely clean hotel. I would highly recommend it. I just wished it had a restaurant because there was really only one good restaurant in town. "

Fantastic stay

"We spent a week at this charming property and had an absolutely magical time with friends. The house was cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony perfect for enjoying evening meals. The shared pool offered breathtaking views, and the other guests were incredibly friendly, adding to the warm atmosphere. Our host, Eloise, was exceptional—her hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more special. She provided wonderful restaurant recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. We can't thank her enough for such a memorable experience!"
