"We had a very small apartment. It could have been cleaner, the toilet was smelly and not clean, the shower was very hard to use and the bedding looked grubby. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were woken one night at 2pm by the sound of two men talking in the courtyard and the smell of their cigarettes filling our room."

"Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Well located for ferry port and train station, with tram to both for the less energetic. I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. Shower was small, but then I'm quite large! Water temperature regulation was very sensitive. Overall a good stop over"

"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
