"Awesome location! You feel like you have your own secret passage to home in the middle of everything! All the major sights of York are easily walkable. Weirdly, Expedia didn’t give us a street number which made it hard for us and our taxi driver to find. The room was very spacious, with everything we needed. The shower was awesome. We were greeted warmly and appreciated being able to leave our bags for a while after we checked out. "

"Absolutely fabulous place for a stay in York. If you want a clean, stylish, friendly base fir a few days in York - you wont beat this hotel. Stayed in several York hotels- but love it here - just book it ! And a lovely stroll through museum gardens to York centre - perfect 👌 "

"The overall stay was lovely i didnt stay the 2 nights as my business was concluded in the first day. The room was very clean amd the beds were really comfortable plenty of tea and coffee in the room and also bottles of water. Will defo be staying here again in the future."

"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "I recommend ASHBOURNE HOUSE most highly. Location 10-15 minutes walk from centre of York. Environment, room temperature , cleanliness excellent. . Proprietors very warm and friendly. I am VERY satisfied with my stay at Ashbourne House. "

"Perfect in every way. Ideal location for exploring York. 10 min walk to access walk around the wall. Wonderful warm and courteous welcome from Noah on arrival at the property and personal send off when key handed in.Comfortable warm bed. Slept like a log. Both room and en suite clean and wecoming. "Very friendly helpful staff and instructions before arrival and during my stay. Clean and tidy room. Walls not sound proof so spent the night listening to a neighbour snoring unfortunately but very comfortable bed. Carpet was vacuumed but could do with a shampoo. Excellent breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities and nice toiletries. Thank you. "

"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."

"The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation...
