Ski In/Out | Views, Deck - Fireplace - Affordable - Eolus#420

Our ski-in ski-out studio (#420) is located in the Eolus building at the base of Purgatory Mountain with magnificent views of the Purgatory Village Express Lift (6 pack chair lift), Twighlight Lift, Needles Lift (Chair 6), the Needles Mountains, and Purgatory Village Center. This location - at the heart of it all - makes your vacation as convenient as possible. Take elevator down one floor to the third floor, walk out the door, pop on your boots & skis and you are ready to go! The main lift is just steps away. It is a great homebase for your winter or summer adventure!

The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, crockpot, coffee maker, blender, cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishes etc. A stackable washer/dryer is located in your unit. There is a wood burning fireplace (wood is provided) and free high speed wireless internet. You also get one designated covered parking space - you will never have to clean snow off your vehicle during your stay! The condo has cable TV plus a firestick so you can watch your own streaming channels. There is also a DVD player. The views of the Needles Mountain range from the private balcony are breathtaking!! There are chairs on the deck to take in the mountain views and observe all of the skier activity.

EOLUS AMENITIES: There are 2 hot tubs (year-round) and a swimming pool (summer only) on site at Eolus included in your stay.

RESORT CLUB ACCESS: For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

PURGATORY SKI MOUNTAIN LOCATION: This condo is located at Purgatory Ski Resort in the San Juan Mountains. Purgatory is 25 minutes north of downtown Durango and is known as a family-friendly ski resort. It has 105 trails, including 5 terrain parks, over 1,500 skiable acres and 12 lift. The resort boasts an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. Purgatory Resort offers a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families, including ski lessons, childcare and a variety of restaurants. It is a more affordable option that some of the other ski resorts in Colorado, has a good mix of terrain for all ability levels, and stunning views. If you're looking for a resort that offers something for everyone, staying at this condo at Purgatory is a great option!

SUMMER AT PURGATORY: Purgatory boasts a bike park accessible by chair lift, an alpine slide, mountain coaster, and treasure panning. There are also hiking trails, jeep tours, and watercraft rentals on Twilight Lake. Purgatory hosts various events throughout the summer, such as live music concerts, festivals and bike races.

At Vacation Rental Collective, we understand the importance of flexibility for travelers when it comes to cancellations. When booking directly with Vacation Rental Collective, Vacation Rental Collective offers a Moderate Cancellation Policy for this Property: A guest will receive a 100% refund if canceled/changed at least 30 days before check-in; a 50% refund if canceled/changed 14-30 days before check-in; and no refund if canceled/changed 13 days or less before check-in. If you booked on a third party site (VRBO, Airbnb, etc), your cancellation is subject to their policy. We do offer travel insurance.

Due to HOA rules, the condo (and all condos in the building) is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets/emotional support animals.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Great Purgatory Location
This was a great location for our family vacation. We really loved being able to walk right down to the main lift from our condo. The condo is clean, and management is so fast to respond to any questions. I recommend paying for access to the main lodge pool / hot tub as they are outside and have great views. My only ask is to put a couple of pillow cases in the closet for use on the pull out sofa bed. We would stay here again!

Small unit but for a 3 night stay to snowboard it worked perfect. Our kids shared the couch bed so it worked nicely. The code to the door did not work upon arrival, contacted the management and said they were going to come fix it but never did, ended up using the cleaning people's code all weekend.

Amazing Studio with Ski In/Out Access
My family and I had an amazing weekend up at Purgatory thanks to the convenience of this studio condo. The condo is a short walk to several lifts and Purgatory Village. The included covered parking was a huge plus considering how much it snowed during our stay! The condo was the perfect size for a small family and included everything for us to relax and prepare meals. The views from the private balcony were incredible! Would definitely book again for future ski trips.

Perfect Spot for a Couples Ski Trip
You cannot ask for a better location! Location was everything for our stay and the views from the room were icing on the cake. You can’t beat a minute walk/transition from your room to the main lift at Purgatory. Bed was very comfortable. Room had most all of what we needed. The host was exceptionally responsive, courteous, and helpful to my inquiries. Would plan to stay here again for another ski weekend with my spouse.

Comfortable and well-appointed
For 2 people this is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the slopes. Take the elevator down to level 2, walk down one flight of stairs and you are only steps away from the ski lifts. Internet worked great the whole time, the couch and bed were comfortable and the dining table with 4 chairs gave us plenty of room to eat meals while watching the action outside. The included, covered parking space is also very nice to have. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such an awesome vacation at Purgatory for early Spring Break 2020. This view of the mountain base was exceptional. Truly a ski in, ski out property. We watched kiddos build snowmen, sled, and snowball fight from our balcony and walked to Purgy's restaurant at night for a great meal. This property is well worth the money !!!

Fabulous location
I came with my daughters for a ski race and we loved staying at this condo. Best past of my day was opening the curtains and watching the ski area come alive. Super convenient to the lifts so we could come home for lunch. The condo was big enough for the 3 of us comfortably. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen and had everything we needed. We had one issue come up while staying here but the owner was immediately responsive and eager to get it fixed. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a fantastic stay at this condo!! My husband and I traveled to the Durango area with our 2 teenage kids. There was plenty of space in the condo for the 4 of us (a little larger than a hotel BUT way more comfortable with the comforts of home) We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the views. The kids had a great time doing the Purgatory summer events. The location was perfect for us, close to Durango and not far from Silverton and Ouray! The condo had everything stocked that we could need, the bottle of wine and starter set of laundry supplies was much appreciated after a week in a hotel across the state! The reserved parking space was great, and having a pool and hot tubs just steps away was also a nice plus for the kids! We cannot wait to return to this condo soon. Angie was very quick to reply to any questions we had and a fantastic host.

Best condo in Purgatory Village yet!
My third visit to Purgatory Village and this condo is by far my favorite!! Loved the fact that we couldn’t hear any of our neighbors above or beside us! This is not typical for staying in condos! We were blown away by how quiet it was inside the condo since it was a very busy holiday weekend with lots of partying going on all over the resort. Very well insulated! Couldn’t beat the view!! We’ve stayed in other condos in purgatory village where we were boxed in and our view was the condo across from us (had to keep curtains closed the whole time). Loved being able to always see what was going on at the outside bar, the "beach", and the slopes. Such a fun party atmosphere but still easily able to shut it out and have peace and quiet to relax and chill out. (Again, great sound barrier!!) Having a personal parking spot was a huge bonus for parking at a ski resort. We loved that we never had to worry about getting our spot back. The room stayed toasty warm without needing to make a fire. Though having firewood in the room and a bottle of wine was lovely for ambiance. Thank you SO MUCH for having a fan in the bathroom! There’s nothing worse than sharing a bathroom with your girlfriends and worrying about it if you know what I mean?! The heater in the bathroom was a nice surprise that made getting in and out of the shower so much more comfortable! As a side note, it was surprising to see how many extra perks were included, such as toiletries, seasonings, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets, amongst other things that you typically may forget and that I’ve not seen other VRBO condos include. Thanks for considering so many of the things that make staying for days away from home more comfortable.
