"What a find! We had a long travel day going S on I-5. This place is just S of the mountain passes that were likely to have snow or ice in the morning. Barbara at reception in the diner next door was great. Because we pulled in at 8p, it was great to have a 24 hour diner. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the diner was delicious. The breakfast burrito was flavorful with lots of veggies. James was a server extraordinaire, friendly and attentive. Kudos to Steven the cook. He seemed proud to be cooking classic diner food. We would definitely recommend this Travelodge and Penny's Diner."

"The Angler Lodge was a great find for our family! We are a family of 5 and every kid had their own bed! --One king, one twin, and twin bunks. We had the 2 bedroom suite. The room was clean, even in places where I'd expect to find dust. The beds were comfortable and the pillows and comforters were fluffy. Heater worked very well. Check in was a breeze! Noncontact. But the staff was very accessible via text. The little library was cute- my kids loved looking at the national parks books. (I would even consider having games to check out, but the books were great). I loved the virtual guidebook. I think maybe having something printed or posted in the room would be nice, too. We had a minor incident with one our kids and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Be aware that most places to eat close at 8pm, so be prepared. I wish we had more time to visit the dunsmuir botanical gardens, but maybe next time. We did see where Babe Ruth played 101 years earlier! We highly recommend and will definitely consider making this a routine stop if we ever travel through again. "

"Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. This was a ski trip for us. The ski resort is an easy drive, 15 min away, the town is less than 10 min away, and the surrounding area is nice and quiet. We traveled with our kids and dogs. They had a blast in the snow. The house was spacious and had all we needed for our stay. The washer and dryer were a plus when running out of dry clothes. The hosts answered right away to all of our questions. We are looking forward to our next stay at this house."
