"When we arrived we were blown away with the scenery driving down the hill towards the lodge park. When we arrived at the gates it was beautiful. The lodge was spotless and heating had already been set so it was very cosy. The hot tub was the icing on the cake to chill and relax after venturing out. Dollar glen trails have breathtaking views which i would recommend to anyone visiting!! Originally booked for 2 nights but messaged James on our last night and booked to stay an extra night. Will...

"When we arrived and went to reception to check it the lady was very welcoming and professional and friendly she explained about the lodge and what was available and gave us the keys to our lodge when to the lodge it was absolutely stunning very clean fresh and perfect the hot tib was maintained each morning and all staff were availbale if we needed anything this place is the best lodge we have stayed in 100% recommended "

"Host, Will is fantastic, great communication. He left some coffee and milk for us as well as a bar of chocolate. The lodge is clean and tidy and everything is great with it. If you stay check out the DVD collection it is legendary. Also, there is Nintendo Wii in the lodge which is great for kids great fun. We will be back for sure, if the lodge is availible. "Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "

"We had an amazing break initially going just to relax and enjoy some jacuzzi pool time but instead from the first minute finding a welcoming professional but family feel. The room was spotless and welcoming all newly refurbished only one thing I’d ask for was a couple of shelf’s up to put clothes on otherwise nothing else was missed. Other half who is a clean freak was really impressed especially by how clean the mirrors were not one streak on them something that is nothing to others but made his dayx the pool was lovely and just perfect the spa amazing and relaxing the sauna was offt roasting (the point I believe) all again spotless I waved to the gym on the way past 😂 looked good had few people working away in it. The bar was spotless plenty of seating for everyone comfy seats included an amazing display of cakes and pies xx down to how closely the owners and staff of the bar kitchen and event/function suit are working hard together to get everything up and running was amazing the passion in everyone involved was amazing unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t open for hot food as yet they are working really hard to have it opened for this Sunday (Mothers Day) which we are hoping to return to support and enjoy with them we also are hoping to have a weekend a month break. A friendly place with so much to come watch this space. Can’t wish them enough good luck that they deserve "
