Week on the Lake
Our family of 4, with a teen and a tween, had a great week at this cozy cottage with a dock on a picturesque cove. Reminds me of the fishing cottages my parents took us to- just what you need, collected over time by people who’ve loved the cottage over a couple of generations, and have the Tupperware, games, and fishing themed lamps to show for it. It has the amenities you need for a comfortable stay- AC and internet for WFH on for humid days, lots of screens and a fan for cool nights. The kitchen has all the basics and a gas grill outside. Note that you need to bring drinking water! Good hot water in the shower- which is a squeeze for 6ft tall folks, but fine. Screen porch is great 24/7. Bring a sunshade for the yard- ours was useful for drizzly days too. The lake has lots of seaweed and greenery growing in the shallows- we rented paddle boards to go out and swim in the deeper water, not braving the seaweed forest around the dock. The cottage is one of several small “vintage” cottages in a row along this shore, and the owners and their sweet small dog are right next door. They are friendly and helpful and respectful, very lovely neighbors! tho’ it could be too close for vacationers that want to feel out there on their own. The steps are steep to the parking area but we were able to do a quick unload on arrival, into a wheelbarrow on the cottage level lawn. We would return prepared with our sunshade and paddle boards!

Awesome location!
Loved our week at the lake! Brought 2 dogs that loved having access to waterfront. Great location with all the conveniences of home. Very clean, friendly owners next door in case you need anything. Small cottage - good for 2 people. Wish bed was bigger but was comfy!! Rented a boat for a couple of days. Great fun but expensive! Nice relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Pleased 😊

Relaxing lake front cottage
The cottage is right on the lake with beautiful views of Seneca Lake. Watkins Glen is a short drive, as well as quaint villages. Although we did not swim in the lake due to seaweed, we did enjoy fires by the lake at night. Additionally, there is no shortage of vineyards if that is what you enjoy. Nick and Linda are present and attentive hosts, very nice couple who show care of ownership to their property. The pup Gina loves everybody.

Welcome to the Neighborhood
This cottage and lakefront are great. Be aware that there is no shade until 4pm. The stairs and having to unload on someone else's property were very difficult. The owner of the property was put off by this and had an attitude when I tried to thank him. I am a sensitive woman and pick up on the energy that surrounds me. It was tense. Although the owners were extremely competent, we felt like we were being watched everytime we were outside. Now, this is only my perspective, although my BF and family felt it too. We probably wouldn't rent again. The hosts did their part too well, if that makes sense.

Charming cottage
Nick and Linda are wonderful people and very helpful. Cottage is clean and well maintained. Only reason for not giving a 5* rating is because there is no shade anywhere on the property until about 4pm. We did enjoy having a relaxing week at Seneca Lake

Annual Fall trip
This was our first time staying at Nick and Linda’s lakeside cottage. We had a wonderful and relaxing week, the fully equipped and furnished cottage is quaint and had everything we needed to just sit back and enjoy the amazing views of Seneca Lake. It was a pleasure getting to know Nick , Linda and their adorable Terrier, Gina. We definitely will be going back!

Tranquil Bliss
We just spent nine wonderful, restful days in Linda & Nick's cottage and it was fantastic! It's a true, old fashioned, vintage cottage like the ones we stayed at in our youth (except for the cable TV and WiFi!). The pictures are accurate but they can't capture the quaint, peaceful vibe we felt during our stay. Linda and Nick were very helpful from the minute we arrived and we adored regular visits with Miss Gina, their Jack Russell! Daily swims were refreshing (warning: it's a Finger Lake so there is seaweed) and we kayaked mornings when the lake was calm. We had numerous visits by the local bald eagles, a blue heron on our dock at dawn, and a Barred Owl calling from the trees while we sat at the fire pit at night. It's a great base camp for touring wineries or exploring the region. The 40+ steps up to our car got us in shape for hiking Watkins Glen and Treman State Park for the first time while we were there. We look forward to staying there again next year.

This little cabin/cottage was perfect for us, however there's 2 bedrooms & I can see it would also be fine for family of 4. Owner's have Gina who you will love, us being dog lovers w/o one at present. The wineries, Watkins Glen Park, all the lakes made our 2 weeks memorable.

Relaxing week in a super friendly neighborhood
The location is the best that you can hope for Seneca lake. The cottage is dated, but has everything you need for the week. Nike and Linda are very easy to communicate. It's a very small neighborhood and everyone is so kind and friendly. We were invited to their pizza party, which really makes us fell part of the neighborhood. While my kids and our dog out in the lake for kayaking, one neighbor noticed they went a bit too far for the dog and called them back. Our dog learned to jump from the dock and enjoyed the toy that Nike gave to her! It is a relaxing week for all of us. We just wish more fish :-)

Cozy Cottage on Seneca Lake
The cottage was as expected from the owners description. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is stocked with all you need to prepare your own meals and the gas grill and fire pit allow for outdoor cooking as well. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and the soft sounds of the water. It was very relaxing. There was plenty to do in the area too. We enjoyed hiking in Watkins Glen, visiting the Curtiss and Corning museums, wine tastings at the local wineries and antique shopping. Although our stay was in the fall, this would be a perfect location for a summer vacation with the lake just steps from your front door.

Great location on the lake
We enjoyed our week at the cottage. The location was great, steps out the door to the lake and dock. Easy access to our favorite wineries. 48 steps straight up to the parking was a workout but we survived! Cottage was dated, but immaculate, smaller than we anticipated. We think the porch was taken into account with the overall square footage. Linda, Nick and all of the neighbors were very friendly.
