"We stayed 2 nights for a music festival. Hotel is in a nicely renovated old downtown building with a free city parking lot across the street. Walking distance from Blues Museum and Ground Zero Blues Club. Area around the hotel is kind of rundown with not a lot of people walking around the streets at night but it felt safe enough. Hotel felt kind of like a large bed & breakfast in that it has a shared kitchen and a self-service bar in the lobby and there’s lots of opportunities to get to know the other guests and manager/owners. We would stay there again. "

"Bed was comfortable. Although everything you need for an overnight stay was provided the room was generally a bit tired looking but then that is reflected in the price. Breakfast was very limited, bread, muffins, cereal etc "

"Libby is a perfect host. The place is beautiful and just a mile from Clarksdale and its treasures - great music, the friendliest folks on the planet and the finest keepers of America’s blues history. A trip to Clarksdale is a spiritual balm for the soul. "

"I am originally from Clarksdale. We were visiting family and going to a dove hunt. We wanted to travel with our dog this time. We wanted a house instead of a hotel. This location was great. We had lots of area to walk our dog. The house was great. Kitchen was a little small with the dog dish on floor!!! We managed! The vrbo message system was down so Libby and I could not communicate. Vrbo helped with that."

"The hotel itself was very nice. The computer system was down when we arrived but the staff working at that time did a good job trying to accommodate guests. The late night staff member was on her phone listening to a loud , inappropriate video when I came Down and asked for extra towels around 11pm. My only suggestion is that she use headphones. I would stay here again. It’s one of the nicest properties in the area."

"I loved my stay at High Cotton guesthouse. It was such a neat place, just the right size. Bed was very comfortable, AC worked well, bathroom clean, everything decorated well. Dogs enjoyed the back yard. House in quiet and apparently safe neighborhood. I could walk down the street with dogs without being afraid. I want to go back at my next family visit."
