Unfortunately, the shower drain was clogged on arrival so we had to unclog a large amount and also had to buy toilet paper as no spare was obviously seen. These were minor issues compared to how our holiday went. Thank you."

"Everything about this place was perfect! The space was obviously designed for the ease and enjoyment of its guests. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, the bedrooms were adorably decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of clothing storage. The cottage is located directly across the street from Talisker, overlooking the water from the backside of the house & back garden. We loved our stay!"

"From our arrival through to our departure, The Birdhouse surpassed our expectations. It's beautifully designed and it's in an amazing location. Kristen and Gregor are perfect hosts, super friendly and helpful. There are lots of stunning walks and scenery to explore in Applecross Bay. He also came out to meet us on the road just to make sure we didn't miss the entrance. "The owner met us there and had the fire going. He was very nice and gave us a lot of pointers on where to go and what to see, not your typical tourist attractions. We were there for a few nights for our honeymoon and he had a little surprise waiting for us when we got there. If your looking for a quiet cool little place to stay I would highly recommend staying here. Our only negative was the bed was a little small for someone who is a bit taller."
