"Overall we had a lovely stay at the Greenhill Hotel. The food was excellent and all the staff friendly; especially the lady serving breakfast who couldn’t do enough for us even when we came down to breakfast late on the last day! I do feel the room rate is a little high considering the bedroom furniture is looking a little tired and the cleanliness of the shower left a lot to be desired but this was pointed out and some money was knocked off our final bill. "

"Parked onsite and was welcomed by Maurice & Laureen who invited us in with smiles and laughter. We booked the, superior double room with the bathtub. And the room was spacious and cosy with the bathtub being big and relaxing. There is a cozy common area where you can relax read and gossip. A lovely breakfast was prepared by Laureen with Maurice being service and entertainment. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay depite being only one night. We wished we could stay longer. "Great stay a short walk from the centre of Moffat. Caroline and Miles are super helpful and nice (Miles kept parking spaces free for us so we could park our motorcycles right outside the front of the hotel.) Plenty of parking on this quiet street. There are just 3 rooms here. They are a good size, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is great quality with lots of choice. Couldn’t fault the quality and service and will definitely return."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus."

"Wow what a find! This property is wonderful, it really is a bargain price compared to others, perfect location with so much to do in the surrounding areas. The lodge is cleaned to the highest of standards and so homely and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Prior to arrival Louise was great with her communication and on arrival everything was perfect and the guest book was so useful with loads of suggestions for things to do. We had the most wonderful holiday, definitely booking again."

"A lovely large, clean, comfortable, well equipped property in a quiet location in southern Scotland. Host Nigel was very responsive and pointed us to some great walks close by. "We had a good week at the property, it is a bit remote and shopping for food best done before you arrive at property or in larger village shops! Lovely gardens and beach for the kids, a bit rocky but kids loved looking in rock pools. The accommodation itself was spotless, very well stocked with kitchen equipment and appliances, we had the two cottages which made up the stables, so 2 kitchen and lounge areas, we tended to use the larger kitchen for eating and the smaller cottage lounge as it was...
