"With my adult kids we spent 3 days and two nights at Giuseppes house. Its tricky to find but worth it. Great views from the patio and some of the windows to the lake. Nice pizzeria near by as well as a cute cafe for coffees, pastry and gelato. We had a great time amd Giuseppe was a great host and very communicative and responsive. The lake was beautiful. "

"If you're looking for peace, a tranquil atmosphere and glorious surroundings, this is the place for you. The house is very simple and you're off the beaten track, but there's everything you need and you'll be spending most of your time outdoors anyway. Our dogs had to be lifted into the car every time we went anywhere, because they never wanted to leave. Monique is delightful, warm and helpful, and she made us feel very welcome - we even met her equally warm and friendly parents."

"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "I had a very pleasant experience staying at LUGANODANTE 2 years ago and looked forward to return there on this business trip. The room and bathroom were super clean, welcoming and comfortable with free coffee/tea, water and soft drinks in the minibar. There were ample outlets to connect my electronic devices. The buffet breakfast is copious and of high quality, using seasonal and sustainable ingredients. The reception staff is super friendly and helpful. One of the best part is the location, which is steps away from the funicular leading to the Lugano train station!"
