Macdonald Forest Hills Resort

4.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (143)
"Gorgeous grounds and surrounding area. Really peaceful and well placed for scenery. Good on sight playing for children and lovely even if you don’t leave the grounds. The apartments are super spacious and love the indoor sauna and hot tub. A little cold and old fashioned but adds charm. Absolutely love coming here with my family for a little break from the city. Family Friendly Refurbished Detached Country Cottage set in Castle Grounds

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (61)
"We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this beautiful house which is in a picturesque, peaceful setting and was perfect for our family gathering. We found the bedrooms really comfortable and we enjoyed spending time together in the main open plan space, and sitting out in the gardens too. The location was great for walking and exploring, with amenities close by it wasn’t at all far from beautiful Loch Lomond. We hope to stay again."

4.0 star property

Very convenient location for Glasgow Central train station and St. Enoch subway station plus local shops. The downside was groups of youths hanging around the St. Enoch area, especially after dark and letting off fireworks in the street. Whilst they weren't threatening, I did feel the need to be extra vigilant whilst walking...
