"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after very well by Phillipe, Natasha and the staff. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was very good. However, for us the highest marks should go to to the food. The breakfast had an excellent European choice. The dinners were superb. The menu was changed everyday and there was a limited but good choice of dishes. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The fish and desserts were particularly good. It was a very good price for the quality. We intended to eat there just twice but only ate out at a small restaurant in the village was once. Philippe was very helpful in giving us suggestions for visits. We would definitely stay there again when we next visit France."

"This was a lovely hotel with staff who were so friendly and helpful. It is a short walk from Villandry chateau, but was still very peaceful and quiet. They offer beautiful food for breakfast and dinner, which is extra, but was delicious and all locally sourced. This place was a real gem. "

"This is our second stay at the Mill. We keep coming back to Monts just to stay here. Our little ones (4 and 6) love playing in the creek and under the willows, letting their imagination run wild. My husband and in-laws took out the kayaks. There are life vests of all sizes, even for the littles. My husband, kids, and I slept on the top floor. My inlaws (in their 70s) stayed on the second floor. Everyone was able to navigate the stairs easily. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and we were able to eat in each night, including grilling three nights. There is a grocery store in town and a Carrfour a short drive away. There is also a great bakery. The famous Chateaux are within easy driving distance. We really love this place as an escape from the busy world and the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the French countryside."

"A fantastic week in Monts. The Moulin was ideal: tranquil river location, which was perfect for swimming kayaking and paddle boarding on the river. The children has an amazing time. Add to that the swimming pool, table tennis and table football and they had so much to do! Guests should be aware the stairs in the moulin are very steep - entirely manageable, but steep! The only other point to note is the oven is limited, so Cooking plans are best made around gas hob options. In summary, a great spot supported by a welcoming and very helpful host, Anne. "

"A lovely stay, and the staff could not possibly be nicer or more helpful. This is a historic property that forms its own compound in the heart of the pleasant village of Azay-le-Rideau. The hotel is a short walk from one of the most splendid of the Loire chateaux, and is aso centrally located for daytrips throughout the region. Our room was large and comfortable, if a bit sparsely furnished. The bathroom was quite new, modern, and well-fitted out. We'd happily have stayed longer."
