"First night the room wasn’t available so we were put in a basic hotel room. No hairdryer which hotel description said would have one, reception wouldn’t provide once I requested. A couple of irritations but overall a lovely hotel."

"We stayed with a baby for a week and we had very good food! Nice beach for families, the hotel has all important services for enjoy the vacation. Staff is kind and takes car of tall customers needs."

"The warm welcome by the owner (older gentleman) as you arrive with your vehicle was already a positive sign. He knew who were were and confirmed and trusted us while walking us to our second floor room. The stone pathway and stairs were super clean and maintained regularly by the owners wife. "The apartment block was right in front of the beach, along with a few other similar places. The host was great when we arrived, check in was quick and easy. The room itself was spacious and clean, though the bathroom was a bit dated and there was nowhere to hang the shower head so you had to hold it over yourself. Parking was great, as was the location. Wifi left a little to be desired however!"

"Staff were extremely helpful, grounds were beautiful. Lots of cats and little pups around (not sure if strays or if the hotel was caring for them) but all very friendly and loved feeding them. Rooms spacious and clean. "

"The Marelen was perfect for us, the breakfast had many options, the pool bar was top notch service, its location is perfectly between the beach and main road for shops etc. We were visiting for a few days for a wedding so staying in different hotels and multiple people mentioned how they really liked our hotel compared to others in the area - we are hoping to be back for a proper holiday next year!"

"We had the Deluxe Room with Panoramic View and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was modern, clean, private and had a beautiful view. It was up three storeys (no elevator) but we didn’t mind, however worth noting if that’s a concern for you. The pool area is relaxing and clean. The hotel is back from the main road in Argassi so while it’s close to everything you need, it’s also private and quiet."
