"We enjoyed our stay. We traveled from SF with 2 small kids under 3 and had some time in the snow. It was a 15 min distance from soda spring Borreal which was amazing since the traveling from the city can be exhausting. The property looked decent with its attached Rustic Diner. The Rustic Turkey sandwich was really good my kids loved it. The front desk was very easy, friendly and small talk. The employees were attentive. We didn’t want to go to Reno or pay so much money for 1 night. This was a very lucky place we were able to stay. Auburn is 30 mins away which made it super convenient if needing anything. As we left this morning we had forgotten our headphones and they called us to inform us we left them. They were able to mail it back but just the consideration of them calling us was very kind. So if you want a place to stay for snow or just being in the area definitely a place I would recommend. The building seemed a little old so there are some minor things that the property needs for updates in the room but wouldn’t give it any less. "

"Great place to stay for a family, the house included many amenities for the price. The ad was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything you needed for a weekend getaway with your family. "Very clean, plenty of space. We did not venture upstairs so can’t comment on that, but everything was as described. It was absolutely freezing when we arrived, and most of the wood pieces were large, so chopping wood in the dark was not in our plans. Perhaps the cleaner could have turned on the kitchen area heater for a bit before guests arrive. As soon as we unpacked and got a fire going, we sat down to watch the projection tv, and discovered that none of the living room outlets were working. We flipped the breaker and it didn’t fix it, so I sent a quick note to the owner letting her know, but noted that we moved the projector to a plug near the door and it was working, so it was not a big deal. I didn’t love the response:” that’s odd, first I’ve heard of it.Thanks for the heads up!” A simple “I’m so sorry” would have changed my review a bit. But that one thing wasn’t enough to leave a negative review. "

"We used this cabin for a work weekend with the team. Worked perfectly. House and location is great. I recommend grabbing the firewood. Really speeds up the heat and gets the house toasty. "

"The place was in the middle of Nowhere.Had to share a old double wide mobile with other people and Dogs .Owner was pleasant but pretty transparent about the conditions .Both of us were very uncomfortable staying there so we just left .It also was in a run down area in the middle of nowhere. So.we basically wasted 2hours of our time and were out because of no refund . Basically it was Backwoods tweekerville."

"Our extended family wanted to celebrate the holidays together. We needed a little more room to fit everyone and this home was the perfect fit. The beds were comfortable, the family room cozy and the kitchen dining room large enough and functional. Location was ideal for us and we got a white Christmas."

"We had 24 members of our family together for Christmas and this was the perfect gathering place. The kitchen was big enough for all of us and there was plenty of room to meet all of our needs. The most surprising thing was the beautiful view of the lake when you walk in and the sunrise each morning."
