My stay was end of December and it snowed. It looked like a winter wonderland. The room was clean and the decor modern. The main entrance and check in area has a large sitting area, fireplace and a cute boutique filled with fun items. But really it’s the surrounding nature that was pristine. The walk to feather river was easy to find despite the deep snow. The staff was warm and welcoming. Thank you.

1.) Provide a bed that is a normal height and support. The bed you provided was unacceptable and dangerous for a person of my age (66). I slipped on the cow skin rug trying to get out of the bed because I could not get up off the excessively low bed. 2.) The foam bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. 3.) There was no couches or chairs to sit on for an adult. Why? I had to sit on the stairs. 4.) Website is deceptive. The photo makes it look like you can get a view from your room. Our room (214) got a view of the parking lot. 5.) Controller for the heater did not work. 6.) Toilet height is very low. Very hard to get up from. 7.) Tap Room & Brewery....webpage said "Featuring pizzas and tapas inspired dishes that are perfect for sharing that pair perfectly with our unique collection of craft beers". Not. The pizzas were packaged, probably frozen and there were no tapas. Moreover, the pours for drinks were extremely small for the money.

Not What Expected.
Whole property dusty and without paved roads. Small sparsly furnished room. Dusty old cow hide on floor as decor. Low to the ground and old mattress. We found crumpled up tissue inbetween the sheets and trash behind bed end table. Staff okay but seemed understaffed as another guest unhappy because room was not ready at 4pm.

The property was lovely, lots of amenities, activities, grounds. But the room was dark without adequate lighting, a bit small, the bed was low, and the table upstairs (loft) had only one chair! The Nespresso machine was a big plus!

Cleanliness is not the problem …. It’s little things ….. like a chair I can’t sit in & ever get out of …. a bed that’s too low …… a toilet that every few seconds makes an annoying “whoosh” ALL THE TIME …… a fan in the heating system that blows cold air until it warms up & then the fan cannot be turned off ….. the TV that does not allow me to turn off CC (closed caption) … I will not go on ….. I just suggest YOU STAY FOR A NIGHT OR SO AS A GUEST …… see if you are happy!!

Quiet room with comfortable bed and pillows. Nespresso machine was nice. Staff was friendly but a bit inexperienced. On-site taproom (limited food) & coffee shop were convenient for remote location with limited dining options 10 minutes away in Portola. Resort fees didn't seem appropriate for this property, especially in winter with pool & spa closed and most other site amenities inaccessible. Room was well-appointed, but standard size.
