"We had an amazing holiday here. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful with lots of shaded areas to sit and eat. Carmen was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome and gave us all the privacy we needed - the perfect host. "The property has an attractive top floor and good seating outside and lovely views of the Douro. It’s billed as being ideal for families who want to holiday together but have their own space but this isn’t really the case. There are no facilities downstairs at all, no fridge, bin, kettle for example. So living separately isn’t possible. The pool is a good size and a lovely addition to the property. "The Yellow House was clean and comfortable. Paulo’s mother was lovely, greeting us and pouring us port to celebrate our arrival. She kindly showed us the basics of our place, and even walked us down the street to show us where to go and eat. Fado Portuguese was so close, great food, wine and live Fado. Be healthy and reasonably active…lots of hills to climb here, but so much to see."

After a lot of time-wasting we managed to contact "Ribeiro", who in turn called a neighbor with a key to the property.2. The house and its contents were very old and urgently need modernizing. "It was a very nice stay. Friendly hosts. Clean and comfortable home nice shared green space. The beach and board walk was great and led to awesome restaurants in both directions. The only down side is it is a little isolated with out a car but there is a bus near by and taxis are available and under 10 euros to get to town "

"Francisco is very communicative and check in was simple. He had all the documentation ready and the apartment was in excellent condition. He had a list of sites to see and was able to coordinate tours and even breakfast. The unit itself is within walking distance of almost everything I wanted to see. I'd stay here again were I going back to Porto in the near future."
