"This spacious VRBO was perfect for our girlfriends' weekend, with an unexpected bonus of watching small private planes take off and land right in front of us. The house offers plenty of room to spread out, a well-equipped kitchen, and unbelievably quiet surroundings.The backyard fire pit area was a highlight, with comfortable seating perfect for evening gatherings and incredible stargazing. Just note: while Gretchen provided wood for our first night, finding more in Bisbee proved challenging....

"My husband and I needed a quiet weekend escape and this place fit the bill perfectly. Despite the chill outside, the house remained perfectly cozy. It's also a very reasonable drive from Portal and the Cave Creek area if that's your trip goal. Our host was great. It's the perfect place to get off the beaten path for a bit. "This was our second visit to the Painted Pony and it was again a delight for everyone from the four-year old, through the tweens and teens, my grown and married children, and for Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of space, lots of fun things to do (swimming, sauna, basketball, pool, ping pong, etc. It is in the middle of nowhere, which we LOVED! Close to the Chiricahua Mts with great easy and hard hikes. The hosts were very responsive also."
