"We had 6 glorious weeks in The Kereru’s Nest. Fay and James were wonderful hosts. A real home from home (with a pool, wonderful views, friendly locals, superb beach etc etc). I really miss the Old Packhouse Saturday market in Kerikeri and the splendid workout that the driveway gave us (we made it a daily ritual to walk down and back up again to get in our “steps”). Plenty of walks/tramps in the vicinity too for when we wanted to be more active. Thoroughly recommend. "

"Marvelous setting, beautiful, immaculate gardens, one minute walk to the secluded beach. Wonderful view of the bay and incredible sunsets. The whole experience was beyond our expectations. Jen was a great host, we had everything we needed and more. The shopping was convenient and easy. 3 months was too short a stay, and we will definitely be back to Sails. Thank you so much Jen "

"As a family of 3 adults we had the unique opportunity to stay a nite each in both rooms advertised due to an online booking glitch. Thankfully this was quickly resolved and we enjoyed a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, fresh linen and towels were made available for both rooms. Great shower pressure as well as cooking facilities for the smaller room but a bonus with a self - contained kitchen in the studio (studio has no view of harbour). "Fabulous bach, just perfect for our needs and fitted out with everything you could think of. We'll be back, bringing less of the "necessaries" next time because Leanne provides them. Terrible weather but the "natives" were very friendly and hospitable"

Gorgeous Views

"For our first trip to the Far North with our Aussie friends, having water views and a great location were key factors in selecting where to stay. As soon as we arrived, we knew we'd made the right decision. The bach has a charm of its own with its mismatched crockery, glasses, and comfortable couches, and reminded me of childhood summers spent in New Zealand. There's no need to turn on TV when you can simply sit on the deck and enjoy the scenery. The only downside was the BBQ, which we didn’t use as had seen better days. The bach is private and located between two beaches, one is perfect for swimming and surf casting and the other for launching your boat. James provides a document full of helpful details for your stay on the Peninsula. We loved our time there and plan to return. Did I mention the view? It is gorgeous."
