"The restaurant is great—delicious food and a breakfast buffet with plenty of options to kick-start your morning. The staff? Friendly. But there's an interesting duality to this place: you've got the Ibis side and the Mercure side. I never ventured over to the Mercure part, but it seemed to attract a lively professional crowd as well as some older guests. I wouldn't be surprised if that was their main bread and butter. Meanwhile, the Ibis side—where we stayed—had this trendy ghost town vibe....

"The hotel was lovely and staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable. Would recommend staying here. Do not recommend Cafe Victor. The waiter in the three piece suite is pompous and arrogant. He made us feel uncomfortable and caught him smirking at us as we struggled to read French. We didn’t return for breakfast. "

"The staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. No food only Pizza for dinner. Which was cold in middle and heated in microwave. No tea and coffee facilities. No fresh milk just UHT. "Overnight stopover, although in the city the underground parking and 24 hour reception made it a good option. My phone map showed the hotel on the opposite side of the road for some odd reason and we had to ask how to access the underground garage (from Avenue de Caen), but once we found it a good hotel. Comfortable night sleep, clean bedding and bathroom and and the bathroom looked recently done up. Friendly staff. Tasty and convenient breakfast included (continental with eggs and sausages). "
