"Perhaps the nicest or one of the nicest properties in Salento. We splurged a bit by Colombian standards and booked the “Balcony of Cocora” room. Perfect choice for us. We didn’t realize this when booking but it’s on the top floor which gives the best view. Recommend higher up for best views. The property is centrally located within easy walking distance to whatever you may want/need. Breakfast was good and a great way to start our day. Many hot choices and large portions. The rooms do not have heat which we discovered has been typical of everywhere we’ve stayed in Colombia. They provide blankets so sleeping is fine but mornings can be chilly especially after you shower. Pack accordingly for nts walking to dinner, early mornings etc. They pre arranged all our shuttles for us: Pereira airport to Santa Rosa Carbal Hot Springs Hot Springs to Mirador Cocora Miradora to Pereira airport Was sooo nice to have all this arranged before we departed for our trip. Their communication during the planning of the entire trip and while we were traveling was superb! All shuttles were early! It was a flawless experience and big piece of mind! The favorite place we stayed dur our 12 day Colombia. Adventure! "

"The Movich is a top-notched hotel in Pereira. Walking distance to the Bolivar square, connected to a nice mall with a great Mexican eatery, and some cute shops too. The hotel has everything you could ask for, excellent service from the staff, all amenities -- and the breakfast buffet is an attraction on its own; hosted in a beautiful dining space with an abundance of delicious food selection. Highly recommended if you're staying in Pereira downtown area"

"Everything was fine during our stay. I would only recommend updating the restaurant menu (11th floor). A dish was ordered according to the menu and served differently. When asking if it was ordered according to the menu, the waiter's answer was that the menu is not up to date. "

"I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Salento. Right in town yet overlooking the valley. You feel that you are in the middle of nature but can be in the centre of town in less than 10 minutes walking. Definitely spend the extra for the deluxe bungalows. So private and phenomenal views with a jacuzzi and lounging mesh off the balcony. "

"We had a large suite which was very comfortable. The bedding is some of the best we've ever experienced. The rooftop spa was nice and had great views. The neighborhood is fun with small cafes, restaurants and shops. Cabs were conveniently queued in front of the mall complex next door."

" Our stay in Waka Mountain Retreat in Salento was fantastic! Although getting to the hotel was a bit inconvenient due to the dirt road that initially seemed sketchy, it was absolutely worth it once we arrived. The location is perfect, giving you the feeling of being in the middle of the forest while actually being just a 5-minute walk from the town. The rooms are beautifully decorated, combining the natural environment with modern comforts. The food was amazing for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff was outstanding. Special thanks to Carlos at the reception and Albany in the restaurant for being so nice and helpful. The only downside was the rooms next to the main building, which have a large window that can be bothersome due to the lack of privacy and noise barrier. We could hear everything when there were food deliveries to the restaurant or pick-ups for excursions, as if there were no walls. However, when we requested to switch rooms, the staff accommodated our request, which was fantastic. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend booking a room away from the main building for a more peaceful experience! "
