"Amaël and Ida were wonderful hosts who provided clear instructions for check in and were available throughout our stay. We had misread the listing and did not realize there was no air conditioning. This was in no way the owners fault, as it is clearly listed, but we were surprised and it made for an uncomfortable stay in a heat wave. "I can’t really comment as the host cancelled and I’m still waiting for refund . The host’s communication is very poor and to date has failed to respond . My advice is avoid this host "

"To say our stay was riddled with problems would be an understatement. The problems began before we arrived when we realised that from the nearest metro station we would have to climb either 14 flights of stairs or walk up a large hill - all with suitcases. While the ad mentions the “heights” of Old Lyon, there is no mention of the accessibility issues in reaching the apartment. When you finally reach the building, there are 3 more staircases through a dilapidated building to reach the flat....

Guillaume was thoughtful enough to leave bottled water in the fridge, coffee pods and a sachet of pralines, a specialty of Lyon, as welcome gifts. Guillaume has done a fabulous job designing the apartment with some hi tech features, including radiant floor heating.
