"Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! "

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "It’s a bit hard to judge because I was there just for sleep for a few hours. Great welcome by staff. Quirky room but clean, comfortable, tv, bar snacks and most important a good stay. I like quirky so enjoyed the room! So 7/10."
