"Great location for a local bar and great food in area."

"Great base to explore Aoraki Mt Cook, Mary, the owner was friendly and gave good information about the area: Twizel, Mt Cook, she has a good taste of decor. Spacious room, mini fridge, guest lounge, self service complimentary breakfast, wide open space (located on the airfield, but no noise at night). this lodge has great view of mountains. I loved everything. I would stay again if I come back to this area."

"Friendly staff, let us check in early, park right outside room, laundry nearby with free detergent, large clean room with fully stocked kitchen. We ate dinner one night at the Hermitage Hotel and preferred this hotel and were glad we didnt pick Hermitage to stay at because this motel felt quieter and more easily accessible. It was the best choice in Mt Cook for us. The only improvement would be that it's a row of motel rooms and some, like ours, had some of the mountain views blocked by other motel rooms. It seemed one row of rooms had unobstructed views of Mt Cook mountains, so I'm not sure how to request one of those rooms, but it would have been an even better stay than our already pretty great stay if i had booked one of those rooms. Highly recommend this motel."

"Excellent place to stay in Aoraki Mt Cook Nat'l Park with beautiful views and plenty of amenities. We appreciated the on site laundry, lounge areas, and the sauna! Dining options are limited in the park (~3 restaurants). Even though they're all good, you may want to plan ahead and bring groceries to take advantage of the communal kitchen area at the hostel. Helpful and friendly staff keep everything clean and tidy. We loved our experience here!"

"We were not sure what to expect with our stay here. It is mostly a holiday campground for tents and trailers, but they have 8 hotel rooms for rent. The room and bathroom were spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette. There was a nice patio with chairs and a cafe table. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. The campground personnel were helpful and friendly. The campground is on a lovely lake with hiking trails. Fishing is close by. The location is conveniently located near Twizel. We were pleasantly surprised by our very comfortable accommodations. "

"This is a place you need to bring your own bedding (which we had) and towels (which we forgot :-) ) It was good value for money. We did not have internet. I am not sure if that could have been arranged. We stayed as a couple with my brother but we think it might be also a really nice place for a family. It is easy walking to the town center. We would come again."
