"The images don't do the place justice, trust me. When you enter the place all the decor and rusticness just hits you and you're transported to this cozy world. All the games were nice too and the TV was actually bigger than advertised. Would stay here again. Oh and Cristy was very quick to respond to messages, She was great!"

"Very well decorated and cozy home. Suitable for a standard family. Hot tubs are an absolite must for snow trips and this one waa great, the kids spent a good hour in it each night. Great place to stay, a little far from sierra if there is traffic but without traffic its an easy drive. Thank you!"

We couldnt get the hot water to work in the master so we used the secondary bathroom. We notified the owner, they said it does work. So not sure what was wrong. "The cabin is just as pictured, cozy and inviting, perfectly comfortable for my family. Groceries is just 5 minutes away, Apple Hill 20 minutes and Sly Park just amazing also 5 minutes away. Christine was quick and responsive to any questions we had about the cabin and area. The cabin is very modern, everything digital so just need to be prepared to using your phone to unlock doors and such. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

"We were visiting our son and daughter-in-law for their baby shower weekend! The house was cozy and comfortable and well-appointed, especially in the kitchen! The cabinets are all labeled, so we found everything we needed. We had a little mis-hap and broke an item, and the owner/manager was thoughtful and supportive. We had a great time and hope to stay again! "

"I stayed here while in trial in Placerville and it was the perfect home away from home. The area was quiet, and I even had a beautiful buck in my front yard when I arrived. Jason was an incredible host; easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Though the location is a little remote, that's what makes it charming and allows for wonderful wildlife encounters like wild turkeys and even a skunk family. I will definitely stay here again if I have to be back in trial in Placerville!"

"We stayed at Halcyon House in Amador City. The house was very comfortable for 3 couples. Everything in the house is updated and tasteful. It has a nice outdoor area but was too chilly for us to be outside. It's a very short walk to downtown. Marilee is the most responsive host I've ever worked with on a vacation rental. I hope to return to this house again - it's a special find. "
