"The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. Instead one can enjoy nature sound, birds, butterflies, some monekys climbing the trees and sometimes leguans and view at the sea the same time.The staff is very friendly....

"Overall a really nice, comfortable place to stay. Wait staff, Marlin, and exec chef were friendly and enjoyed our conversations! Breakfast was good, dinner was good, grounds and pool area very well kept. The superior room was spacious, clean, and loved our balcony. Stayed for 2 nights, ate our meals there, lounged poolside for the day, and just had a fantastic leisurely time, which is all we had on our itinerary for Weligama! Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!"

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. If you are looking to relax on a quiet elegant property, solo or with partner, take it day by day, with amazing views, I recommend the Sandhya. Thank you. Frances (British)"

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"This property was wonderful so why only 4 stars? Although I think it should be 5 stars, one consistent item knocked it down a notch. For this calibre of hotel, daily room make up service is a must. The fact that I was asked each day if I wanted this, to which my response was yes, and then to return to the untouched room at the end of the afternoon isn’t 5 star service. "Stayed at Beach and Bliss for three nights in September. Hotel is located right on the beach. A few steps away. You can't swim there due to the rocks but the hotel has a great pool. "

"Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. "

"I loved the location which was on the beach and it was a great view to see surfers surfing. Loved the food and the music wasn't too loud. I can't remember the name of the gentlemen staff but he spoke good English and was Sri Lankan who used to work in the middle east. He really really made us feel welcome and comfortable. "Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor.
