"The place itself was fine for our needs; however, I do have concerns over the welfare of the animals on site. The donkey enclosure was small, full of faeces, and had no fresh grass for the donkeys. There are numerous birds gulls? a rabbit, at least 3 ducks all in an enclosure, with very water. Not a natural or good environment for them!!! I will be looking at animal welfare laws in San Marino, and contacting the appropriate people over this. "

"Hotel was beautiful. It was clean and safe. Only two things I would note that was both minor was 1) The shower head had a lot of limescale in it, I had to break it up to get the shower to flow evenly 2) I felt that the gentleman that ran the restaurant was standoffish The reception team and housekeeping team were extremely welcoming and engaging and San Marino is an absolute beautiful place. The website may say that it is a few hundred metres from the stop for buses to/from Rimini - what it does not say is that you are practically taking your life in your hands to walk alongside a highway to get to it, especially in the dark. "This property is located about 100 yards from the Bonelli bus stop. It’s a bit of a walk to towers but any visitor to San Marino should expect a lot of walking. There is a tourist train stop right outside the hotel but I have no information on the schedule or cost. The room was small but fine for a solo traveler. The front desk was always helpful. Although the breakfast was not included, I think it was worth the $12. The osteria next door had excellent food at a reasonable price. Outside...
