"The air conditioning barely worked. The supposedly great restaurant was “on vacation” - during peak tourism season! There was no extra lock on my room door or chain for security. Although I hung out the sign saying I did not want housekeeping, the housekeeping staff opened my door (because there was no way to lock it) while I was undressed so I had to yell at them to stop. "We had a nice stay at Bawelsberger Hof, but only due the efforts of the receptionist who also doubled as the bar staff, the waitress at dinner AND took payments for the room. This had a knock on effect as when we were waiting to place our order for dinner, she was pouring drinks for another table. When we waited at the bar to be served drinks, she was on the phone with a client........you get the picture, can't be in two places at once.
