"I normally don't post reviews, but had to make an exception for this hotel. It is amazing! Yes, expensive, but the property is unique, and worth it! An unforgetable experience. The staff bends over backwards to take care of your every need. The rooms have views looking right down to the grotto and out to the Adriatic Sea. Like being on a cruise ship. Our room was one of the most modern I've ever stayed in with remote controlled lighting, curtains, music and climate control. The amenities are all top-notch. The town of Polignano a Mare is beautiful. About 35 minutes south of Bari. The people are so friendly. We ate at the restaurant in the cave below the hotel and had a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. I was a little concerned based on some online reviews about the restaurant, but don't let those scare you away, definitely check it out. The restaurant staff was 10/10, with multiple people tending to us through the amazing meal. If you are coming to Italy this place should be on your list of stops."

"This hotel felt like a palace after being on the go for so long in hotels all over Italy. Usually I prefer authentic but sometimes you just need a good pamper. Room and bed/comfort was blissful. Breakfast second to none. Exquisite! My only drawback was the shower had no shelf or place to keep razor, bar soap, or anything else you need. Frustrating to keep out of shower. Staff was great when interacting. I’d go back just for the breakfast buffet. Wow."
