Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating but the best staff member was a sweet resident resort dog named mack who played and swam in the ocean and was always on the search for more belly rubs from hotel guests. Breakfast is great! Beach is beautiful, cabanas and kayaks free to use. Would definitely recommend!"

"We were picked up from the pier by hotel staff and were taken on a short walk on the beach to our hotel. We found our room clean and comfortable and were forever grateful for a perfectly working air con. All staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful at all times. The restaurant served delicious food and there was a good choice of local and western dishes. You do feel a little isolated from the rest of the island but then we thought that the Pagoda beach was the nicest on the whole island. We would definitely stay again."

A small village and port but a great resort if you want to eat good food that’s reasonably priced and swim in the Gulf of Thailand all day long. Our villa faced the ocean and while I didn’t Actually count the steps it was so close from door to ocean and we loved it so much. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommend GOLDEN BEACH RESORT. "
