"Everything is good, but there were two minor issues I would point out. 1.) Shower door didn't close completely. 2.) They only give one room key, which you need to plug in for lights to operate. So, there is a chance you can walk out and get locked out the door. When I pointed that out, they gave me a sperate card to plug in for the lights and so my door keys were always in my pocket. One thing I should mention more than anything, staff were super friendly and very helpful!"

"Spent two nights, 3 days at this property recently while touring around at Pinnawela, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Minneriya. Great location to visit all those sites. Excellent service with a smile. Buffets were plentiful and delicious, great variety. Pool was so relaxing and lush gardens that were well kept really felt like paradise. Disappointed after Covid there is no spa/massage option as that would have been perfect. Stayed in a large room with separate room with door. 2 adults, 3 teens. Teens loved the food, pool and lush gardens. Special mention to Ravi and Felix who were very attentive to us during our stay."

"Stayed here on both ends of a Wilpattu National Park adventure. They hooked me up with an amazing guide and driver as well as transport back and forth to the park and also onward to Kandy. The pool was awesome and there were many birds behind the property. The manager was a very kind man and the staff was great. Room service was delicious as well."

"Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality. Shehan also gave me some excellent advice on how best to tackle the large, formidable Ancient City (two long half days worked well – tip do some research before you arrive) which is located 3kms away. A nearby casual restaurant made for good dinner options, with the many of the dishes freshly cooked on order and run by friendly people. Shehan also linked me to Chelsea, a friendly, knowledgeable and reliable driver who provided very good service. My stay at Saubagya Inn lifted my experience of the Ancient City, and Anuradhapura to a high level. Shehan also runs a second property, with a larger number of rooms and nearer the Ancient City (Experience HUT Holiday Inn) but I especially enjoyed Saubagya Inn."

"Roshea, our host, was super friendly and smiling. We asked to change our room from one double bed to two beds and he did with kindliness. The pool was very welcome after visiting Anuradhapura. The breakfast was excellent! 10 on 10!"
