"Nice hotel and reasonable price"

"Hotel is beautiful. However, one of the rooms I stayed in did not have a mosquito net on the bed and some of the windows did not have screens."

"A really lovely lodge in the best location in Cape Mclear, it had the most amazing chef and restaurant and lovely gardens. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It’s also felt very safe. The room was a little tired and bathroom needed to be a little cleaner, however this is a country that has very limited resources so it was always going to be different to a western and more developed experience. It’s definitely the place to stay in this beautiful corner of Malawi! "

"The Sunbird waterfront is a very nice modern property with very well appointed rooms. The restaurant is good – breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and polite. I was disappointed by the lack of a tourist activity program, and very ad hoc approach to this. Some of the prices I was quoted for boat, rides, or other accompanied activities were ridiculous. "Hotel facilities are in excellent condition and clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I was provided a free upgrade on one of my two nights there. Hotel is located a considerable distance from the main commercial area of the city (e.g. 1-hour walk from the government buildings), meaning to go anywhere effectively requires a taxi, but otherwise the hotel area felt safe and secure."

"I greatly enjoyed my time at the Residence for many reasons. Chawa picked me up from the airport. The fee to get into town was less than half the posted charge for taxis. Breakfast each day was both enormous and tasty. Dinner was likewise excellent. The bed was comfortable, which gave me long, deep sleeping. Chawa arranged tours of the town, and also to see the Chongoni Rock Art (a UNESCO site I wanted to visit). He could also arrange a trip to Lake Malawi and the beach. I feel certain they...

"Spendwise was an affordable and hospitable accommodation. The staff were incredibly helpful with all things including assistance getting around. I had a cozy apartment and the green surroundings were refreshing and relaxing. I’ll definitely be back. "

"Ok but tired. Called a beach resort but rooms are a long way from the lake and you can’t see it. Beach not maintained as other local properties do and no amenities eg seats/loungers. "

"It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny.
