"The Sunbird Lilongwe is a very nice place to stay when traveling. The staff if all amazing - very helpful and accomodating. Yasmin in the restaurant was great at serving our table. The one problem was the Wifi. It would not stay connected and we constantly had to log in. Also turn down service was hit or miss. Some nights we had it some nights we didn't. There was also a beautiful pool and nice fitness center. Overall we would definitely stay again!"

"A really lovely lodge in the best location in Cape Mclear, it had the most amazing chef and restaurant and lovely gardens. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It’s also felt very safe. The room was a little tired and bathroom needed to be a little cleaner, however this is a country that has very limited resources so it was always going to be different to a western and more developed experience. It’s definitely the place to stay in this beautiful corner of Malawi! "

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Casa Mia. Had my dinner in the dining room, price was reasonable and was truly delicious. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Shuttle to the airport was on time and driver was friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend Casa Mia and will return on my next visit to Blantyre."

"The Sunbird waterfront is a very nice modern property with very well appointed rooms. The restaurant is good – breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and polite. I was disappointed by the lack of a tourist activity program, and very ad hoc approach to this. Some of the prices I was quoted for boat, rides, or other accompanied activities were ridiculous. "Sunbird Ku Chawe is situated high up on the Zomba Plateau - one definitely needs a car to get there. It has perfectly manicured beautiful gardens. Even though it was very hot the time that I was there, there is always a cool breeze as it is so high up! I loved my room with the views of the Zomba town & far off mountains such as Chiradzulu and Mulanje. Had a wet room and modern fixtures in the bathroom. There was a good selection of dishes for breakfast and varied menu for dinner. Although...

"It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny.
