"First thing first... This is a HOMESTAY! Meaning you will be staying in their house. If that is what you want then you will be happy. The guy that runs the place is very nice. He does however want to be around you all the time. As for the rooms, you get what you pay for works here, they are very basic. 2 plug ins, 1 worked, 1 shocked me. Went to make tea, opened the sugar jar up and noticed it was actually an ant colony living in the sugar. Breakfast was delicious, home made rotti and eggs...

"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. "The hotel and staff were truly first class! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, featuring stunning high ceilings and a fantastic balcony with a breathtaking view. Although our stay was short, we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the hotel's charm and hospitality. The location was also perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to town, making it easy to explore the local sights, restaurants, and beaches. A wonderful experience overall, and we can’t wait to return! "
